Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name of Winona Laura Hoowitz who was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder named her for the town she grew up in. His father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's mother and father have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's parents moved her along with her siblings to Mendocino County California when Ryder reached seven. They was in a house that didn't have electric power. Ryder was a prolific reader because of the lack of television. Ryder began to take acting classes in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12 years old. Lucas was let go in 1986, and Ryder who was barely 15 years old, landed a role as a leading actor. Ryder was bullied in the high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actress would make a difference. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. However, she continued to pursue her dreams. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major breakthrough. Ryder was later cast in successful roles. In 1993 she received two nominations in the Academy Awards. One of them for her role as a character in The Age of Innocence.
